Halloween 2008

Um......interesting.

So...halloween is such an interesting holiday...it's fun for kids, but as an adult watching from the sidelines...it's odd. Basically we send our kids to beg for food??? Whatever...we had alot of fun doing it. We did trunk or treat at the church, which was totally fun.

So we went on a family cruise for my mom's 50th bday to the western Caribbean. We had to skip Haiti due to the lovely hurricaine...but we didn't miss anything else. I was able to get scuba certified on the trip...the bottom of the ocean, at least at 35 ft is really pretty. I can't wait for my next trip! Oh wait...that's a long ways away...school is still my life!

Emma's hospital stay

Day number 2 at Children's Hospital. Emma decided that breathing was not such an important thing to sustain life. For those that know me...contrary to me being in nursing school...I don't do doctors or hospitals with my child. I finally gave in after 5 Neb albuterol treatments and Emma telling me she couldn't breath. We went to the hospital and her o2 sats were 82%...that's bad for those that don't speak medical.

She's feeling much better here. This is her cousin Ethen. They are 2 months apart.
We had so many visitors! It was great and it made Emma's day when people came to visit. She got pretty bored there at the end. Thanks everyone who came to relieve Emma of her extreme boredom.

Emma and I went on a date to see HS Musical this week! We had so much fun....I truly do like HS Musical...lame? Maybe...I don't care. I'm glad I'm not in HS anymore though! Not much else to report on...life is good.

Correction

Baby name has been changed...to...Adam Joseph instead. Shelley wasn't feeling the Joseph as a first name. Still cute though!

New Babies

I'm so glad I live near my sisters who are having babies so I can get my baby fix. This is Shelley's baby who was born just this last Wed. His name is Joseph Henry. He's pretty cute!

So my sister Allyssa is getting irritated that I'm not keeping up with my blog. Trust me...not my fault. Any spare time I have is spent with Emma. School is keeping me super busy and I'll jump for joy when it's over. I wish I did fun things..like go out of town...do things with Emma so I could post cool pictures. Unfortunatly my weekends are taken up with clinicals and work. Don't get me wrong....I am grateful that I'm in school and I know there is an end in site...it's just hard to do everything. My mom said I'm getting white hair...WHAT??? I can't possibly be that stressed. Hm...let me see if there are some pictures of what we have been doing latley. Emma started swim team...she loves back stroke and breast stroke. She's working hard in that. She also has friends that she hangs out with frequently this summer....they do alot of swimming. Well it looks like that's all the newish pics I have to post. I'll try to keep up...Sorry Allyssa!!!
